Collage Imagen Awards 1Imagen Awards 2

I feel blessed to have been able to attend the 30th annual Imagen Awards 2015. My movie “Spare Parts” was nominated for four awards; Best movie: Spare Parts, Best Actor: George Lopez, Best Director: Sean McNamara, and Best Supporting Actor: Esai Morales. I am happy to announce that we won two of those coveted awards: Best Director: Sean McNamara and Best Actor: George Lopez. I am also extremely happy because this project not only opened the doors of acting and Hollywood for me, but it also introduced me to some of the most talented people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I can truly say we have become a close knit group and family.

This event also gave me the opportunity to meet icons such as Edward James Olmos, Norman Lear, Rita Moreno, Paula Abdul, Rosalyn Sanchez, America Ferrera, Jon Seda, Rico and Raini Rodriguez, and so many others. In addition, I had the opportunity of interacting and spending time with the cast of McFarland USA, American Crime, and East Los High which are mainly young up-and-coming latino actors and David Barrera and his beautiful wife Maria Canals-Barrera.  David is a native of the Rio Grande Valley just like myself and I was looking forward to finally meeting him.

It was truly a memorable night full of stars and fun. I learned a great deal from everyone present and I look forward to one day being nominated for the honor of an imagen award. Until then, I will continue to look up to the many great mentors and role models I have in the industry.

Hello friends! I am excited and grateful to have been invited as a guest speaker at South Texas College for the Psychology Department – Starr Psych Club.  Alex and Eli Sarabia are the department’s chair and co-chair and were responsible for the organization of this event in which they asked me to speak. Every month the Psych Club choses a guest speaker to address its members. The focus of this month’s meeting was education. I spoke about my childhood, my background, my education, military influence from my years at Missouri Military Academy, my experience filming the movie “Spare Parts” and how education is the key to succeed in any field. I want to thank everyone that attended and continues to support my career.  For your next appearance or speaking engagement contact my personal manager Cynthia A. Gutierrez at (956) 784-1045; Creative Juice Online, c/o Rikki RIncon at (214)549-1201, rikkirincon@creativejuice.mobi. I invite you to follow me on facebook, twitter and instagram. See you soon!

Hello family, friends and fans around the world!  I am excited to be here in this beautiful city of Miami for the #PremiosJuventud Awards representing #SparePartsMovie in the category of #PeliculaMasPadre; this is the only film-related category in the entire awards show. Most of the other categories are music related.  This is the #1 Latino awards for the youth and Spanish-speaking market.  It is part of the #Univision network and is similar in content to the Teen Choice Awards; both are fan nominated, so for that, I am proud and excited to be here.  In a few hours I will be on #Periscope live from the moment I leave the hotel in my limousine to walking the red carpet and so much more!  No matter who wins, I feel blessed and happy to be here, so my blessings to whomever wins, gracias a todos!  Make sure you are following me @oscargactor where the #Persicope video will go live. Watch the #PremiosJuventud live on #UnivisionNetwork beginning at 6pm CST 7pm EST #LatinoTwitter #AlaMadre #RGV

During my Dallas, Texas tour to appear at the #UTA University Crossroads Scholarship Banquet, I spent time with the media and had the fortunate opportunity to be interviewed by Dallas/Ft Worth’s leadling lady in radio, Ana Cruz! I am so grateful to let my fans know that 2,000 students gathered at the Donna High School Auditorium for a presentation about my movie “Spare Parts” and the most recent developments in my career. I have to say I’m truly impressed at the level of discipline and respect such a big crowd observed; their principal, Nancy L. Castillo is a great leader and has done a tremendous job with the students. A big thanks go out to her, her staff, Mr. Roy Padilla-Chief of Police at Donna ISD, and the students for their attention and the support they have given me this past few days on social media. I will continue my passion of speaking to the youth and encouraging them however way I can. This past Wednesday I spent half a day with the students of Donna Excell High School. I had a chance to share my experiences with them, answered questions and had lunch with them. Many students expressed their interest in pursuing careers in the field of Entertainment, proof of the immense pool of talent the Rio Grande Valley of Texas has!  My dream of speaking to students continues! Feels amazing to have been a special guest at Audie Murphy Middle School in Alamo, Texas for their 2014-2015 Sports Awards Assembly and Dinner where I presented 187 young female athletes with certificates and trophies. The event was planned by Coach Freddy Colunga. I really want to thank him, the Principal Ms. Lizette Longoria, all teachers, parents, and students. Anytime I can speak or present to students around the nation or world I am one happy person.
